A decade. A bloody decade!

Ten years ago today I started work at a company I'd never heard of. In a city I'd never been to. Thanks to the double whammy of Capgemini making me redundant at the same time as Northern Rock going belly up and flooding the software jobs market. It was a three month contract off the back of a phone interview.
"It's only 120 miles away. Let's give it a go and see what happens."
It was either that, or get a job in a call centre.

Sometimes going incognito just isn't enough.

We usually ask people to open a fresh incognito window to rule out any problems caused by stale cache or cookies. It’s easier than clearing everything out of your browser. But incognito sessions still gather cookies and things if you never close them, just like a regular browser session does. So if you use the same one all week then you can get into the same state.

All very interesting, except our team missed a couple of hours in the middle of the day because we were dealing with a thing. But we still had an interesting session where we did a lot of learning!

Ok. Full disclosure. We did kind of cause the thing in the first place. And in the interest of embracing failure and learning from it, I'm sure nobody will mind me blogging about this...
